§ 10-1-3. Filing of public utility franchises with city upon demand; records of fixtures in public places to be kept by city.

Within six (6) months after a demand made by the council, every public utility and every owner of a public utility franchise shall file with the city (as may be prescribed by ordinance) certified copies of all the franchises owned or claimed under which any such utility is operated. The city shall compile and maintain a public record of all public utilities' fixtures in the streets and other public places of the city.
