§ 13-1-1. Code enforcement authority established.

  • There is hereby established by the city council a code enforcement authority pursuant to the provisions of F.S. Ch. 162. The authority shall be identified and known as the "Pensacola Code Enforcement Authority." The mission of the authority shall be to serve as the city's agency for the receipt, investigation, adjudication and other processing of instances of violations of code provisions pertaining to the appearance and condition of real property in the city, and to provide for quasi-judicial hearings and enforcement measures to accomplish its mission. The authority shall be organized and staffed in a manner as determined by the mayor.
